Ricardo Rodriguez from Venezuela started on January 2nd where he played 2 qualifying rounds before making it to the main draw, he has since had one of the toughest draws beating the #5, #12, #4 and #13 seeds on the way to the final, which he entered in a straight sets victory. Ricardo's junior ranking may be low, however he is no stranger to high level tennis as he already has ATP points. Renzo Olivo from Argentina comes in as the 2nd seed and has had an impressive tournament with solid wins over tough players. His junior career has also been impressive, and we can look for Olivo to be the favorite. However, Rodriguez will be no walk over. Olivo also made the final with a straight sets win.
